Field Engineer (Zürich, 100%)

A robotics company in Zürich is recruiting a Field Engineer on a full-time basis, with the role starting in October 2026. This is the first dedicated field position on the team, so the person hired sets the pattern for how installations are run. The work covers rolling out robotic systems at client sites, integrating them, handling technical support and diagnosing faults in the field. Customer locations include airports, shopping centres, stadiums and office buildings. Each deployment is expected to inform the next, meaning the role carries real responsibility for designing repeatable processes. The position sits between engineering, operations and commercial teams. Observations gathered on site feed back into future hardware revisions, and customer feedback is translated into something the development team can act on. Training client staff to operate the machines as part of their normal facility routine is also part of the job. A degree at bachelor or master level is required, in robotics or a comparable engineering subject, alongside earlier hands-on work deploying and supporting robotic systems. Candidates should be comfortable with power tools, mechanical assembly, and hardware work such as wiring, soldering and crimping, plus Linux systems. Frequent travel, strong English and a driving licence are required. Experience establishing processes from scratch is an advantage.
