Head of IT (m/f/d)

Blumer Lehmann, a company dedicated to creating a sustainable future with wood, is seeking a Head of IT (m/f/d) to lead their digital transformation. Based in Gossau, Switzerland, the company operates internationally, focusing on timber construction, silo and plant engineering, and wood processing. With around 600 employees, Blumer Lehmann combines traditional craftsmanship with digital expertise and cutting-edge technologies. The Head of IT will lead a team of seven IT professionals, managing the hybrid IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and on-premises systems. Responsibilities include overseeing IT, ERP, and digital transformation projects, enhancing IT security, governance, and compliance, and collaborating with executive management to develop the company's IT and AI strategy. The role also involves providing hands-on support for complex technical challenges. Candidates must have a degree or vocational qualification in Information Technology with further education at the HF/FH level or equivalent. Several years of experience in complex IT environments within a mid-sized company, including team leadership, are essential. Strong project management skills and expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, network infrastructure, server environments, and IT security are required. Experience with ERP systems, system integrations, and cloud transformation projects is also necessary. A proven understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes within an industrial company operating across multiple countries is crucial. Nice-to-have skills include a pragmatic approach with a hands-on mindset, the ability to be both a leader and a player-coach, and an entrepreneurial thinker with a strong sense of ownership. Excellent communication skills, from production employees to executive management, are also valuable.
