Director, POS, Omnichannel, Marketplace Engineering

VF Corporation is looking for a Director of POS, Omnichannel and Marketplace Engineering to join its Digital and Data Technology team in Stabio, Switzerland. In this senior leadership role you will steer the technology strategy, architecture and operational excellence of the company's retail commerce ecosystem, which spans physical stores, e‑commerce sites and third‑party marketplaces across VF's global portfolio of iconic brands. On a daily basis you will define and execute the roadmap for POS, omnichannel and marketplace platforms, champion cloud‑native, API‑first and event‑driven designs, and ensure real‑time inventory, order and customer data flow. You will lead a globally distributed engineering organization, promote platform standardisation, security and resilience, and oversee agile delivery, incident management and continuous improvement to keep the commerce systems reliable and performant. The role requires extensive experience and formal qualifications. Candidates must have more than twelve years in software engineering, retail technology or digital commerce, and at least five years managing engineering teams spread across multiple locations. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline is essential, together with deep knowledge of POS solutions (Oracle Xstore, Aptos, New Black), marketplace integration tools (Rithum/ChannelAdvisor), and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Proven hands‑on expertise with microservices, Kubernetes, APIs, event‑driven architectures, and the ability to deliver scalable omnichannel solutions for diverse brands and regions are also required, as is strong stakeholder management and leadership capability.
