SPX Data Analytics Intern

The SPX Data Analytics Intern position is offered by Nespresso, part of the Nestlé group, and is based in Romont, Switzerland with occasional travel to Vevey. The role runs for six months, starts on 1 February 2027, and follows a hybrid work model that blends office and remote days. During the internship you will turn sensory and product‑experience information into actionable insights for coffee innovation. Core tasks include cleaning, analysing, modelling and visualising large SPX data sets, as well as building a predictive machine‑learning model. You will also support KPI reporting, design dashboards with tools such as Power BI or KNIME, run data‑quality checks, and help make data‑management processes more efficient and traceable. Documentation of methods, findings and recommendations, plus clear presentation of results to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, are essential parts of the daily workflow. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a Master's programme in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Consumer Science, Sensory Science or a closely related discipline. Strong data‑science capabilities and coding experience, especially in Python or R, are required. You must be fluent in English and able to translate complex data into understandable messages for diverse audiences. A curious, analytical and detail‑oriented mindset, combined with a proactive, solution‑focused attitude, is also expected.
