ASAP: Finance & Accounting Specialist (m/w/d)

The role is a Finance & Accounting Specialist for a well-established international organisation. The company operates in a collaborative and multicultural setting and is looking for a hands-on professional to join their finance team. The position involves a range of accounting, financial planning, reporting, and compliance tasks. The main day-to-day responsibilities include managing end-to-end accounting activities, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger postings. The role also involves preparing and maintaining accurate financial statements, management reports, and P&L reporting. Additionally, the specialist will lead budget preparation, financial forecasting, and expenditure tracking, as well as analyse budget variances and provide financial recommendations to support decision-making. The must-have requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. Candidates must have at least three years of experience in accounting, finance, controlling, or financial management. A strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and P&L management is essential. Practical knowledge of Swiss VAT and statutory reporting requirements is also required. The role requires fluency in English; proficiency in German is considered a strong advantage. Nice-to-have skills include exposure to international VAT regulations or cross-border VAT consulting. Hands-on ERP experience, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, is preferred. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities are also desirable.
