Senior Accountant (FR/Eng)

The Senior Accountant will sit in the Finance team and handle the full spectrum of accounting duties. Core tasks include keeping the general ledger up to date, processing supplier invoices, employee expenses and customer bills, and ensuring payments and receivables are settled on time. Regular reconciliations of bank, credit‑card and inter‑company accounts are required, as well as supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities such as accruals, pre‑payments and journal entries. The role also involves assisting with Swiss VAT filings, adhering to local tax rules and Swiss accounting standards, and helping prepare monthly statements, management reports and ad‑hoc analyses. Continuous improvement of accounting workflows and internal controls is expected. Applicants must hold a bachelor‑level qualification in accounting or finance, or an equivalent Swiss credential such as a Brevet Fédéral or CFC with a strong accounting emphasis. They need five to ten years of solid accounting experience, preferably gained in a fast‑moving corporate, startup or scale‑up setting. A thorough grasp of Swiss OR accounting rules, advanced Excel abilities (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables) and practical use of modern ERP or accounting software are essential. Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken, is mandatory; German language skills are viewed as a valuable addition.
