Site Reliability Engineer - eFX/ Crypto

Swissquote, the leading digital bank in Switzerland with more than 1,400 employees serving over a million clients worldwide, is seeking a hands‑on Site Reliability Engineer to keep its eFX and crypto production platforms reliable, available, scalable and performant. The role sits at the intersection of infrastructure and development, focusing on Kubernetes, automation, observability and overall system stability across on‑premise and private‑cloud environments. Day‑to‑day duties involve watching the health of production services, reacting to incidents, and guaranteeing optimal uptime. You will operate and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerised workloads, maintain on‑premise infrastructure, and help design scalable solutions. Automation of routine tasks, CI/CD pipeline upkeep, and enhancement of monitoring with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Elastic/Kibana are core activities. The job also requires root‑cause analysis of faults, execution of stress and disaster‑recovery tests, participation in an on‑call rotation, and continuous refinement of operational processes. Candidates must bring at least three years of experience in SRE, DevOps, systems or platform engineering, with proven production‑grade Kubernetes expertise. Required skills include deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, services mesh, Istio, health checks, networking and DNS, as well as Linux administration. Proficiency with Docker, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stacks is essential, alongside solid scripting abilities in Python and Shell. A strong grasp of networking fundamentals, SRE concepts, and Java web‑application servers is also needed, together with fluent English and a willingness to learn French. Additional assets comprise certifications such as CKA or CKAD, familiarity with Helm, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes operators, Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ, and exposure to MT4/MT5, Windows Server, or financial‑services environments like eFX, trading or cryptocurrency. Swissquote promotes an inclusive culture, a relaxed dress code, and rapid growth that offers space to own projects and advance quickly.
