Swissquote FX/Execution Trader

Within its FX & DA Trading Division, the Execution team is responsible for delivering tight liquidity and smooth order handling across a range of asset classes, while also managing the bank's physical spot‑FX risk book. In this role you will quote and fill client orders for spot, forward and option contracts in foreign exchange, precious metals, commodity and index futures, as well as stock CFDs. You will keep a close eye on electronic pricing engines, trade flow and liquidity sources, and work to secure optimal execution with external liquidity providers. Managing the bank's positions together with prime brokers, you will also collaborate with the treasury to enhance financing terms. Daily interaction with risk, sales, IT, development and project groups is required to refine service quality and profitability. Keeping abreast of market headlines, you will spot emerging risks and opportunities, support adjacent desks during trade booking, and produce regular reports on execution performance, liquidity, risk and earnings. The position demands a university qualification in a scientific, technical or economic discipline. Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of the FX market's micro‑structure and its liquidity network, as well as familiarity with the architecture of trading platforms and API connections. The job operates on a rotating shift pattern, so flexibility to work varied hours is essential. Fluency in English is required, and the employer looks for individuals who are result‑driven, dependable and comfortable working as part of a team. Experience trading spot FX is considered an advantage, though not a strict prerequisite. The team works on‑site for a 24‑hour, five‑day schedule, closely alongside engineers and project managers to continuously improve the trading infrastructure.
