Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

Salesforce, the leading AI‑powered CRM, is looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join its delivery organisation. In this position you will design, build and launch agentic AI solutions inside enterprise customer environments, working side‑by‑side with a Deployment Strategist as part of a delivery pod. Your daily work will involve creating AI agents that perform real actions for organisations, handling everything from architecture selection to production deployment, including prompt design, reasoning, tool integration and system connectivity. You will construct and link data pipelines on platforms such as Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake or Databricks, maintain performance dashboards and KPI reports, and help drive proofs of concept and minimum viable products from idea to deployable state. You will also surface platform gaps and edge cases, feeding insights to senior engineers and product teams while translating customer challenges into ship‑ready solutions. The role requires at least five years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with a demonstrable production system, preferably involving AI, full‑stack development or large language models. You must have solid consulting or professional‑services exposure and be fluent in two of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or Apex, plus hands‑on LLM and prompt‑engineering skills. Travel of roughly 25 % is expected. Desirable credentials include Salesforce Platform Developer I or Agentforce Specialist certifications, familiarity with LangChain or LlamaIndex, and experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks or BigQuery.
