Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will join Coperion, a global leader in process technology that serves sectors such as plastics, food, pharmaceuticals and recycling, and operates as a business unit of the Hillenbrand group. The role sits within the finance function and works closely with the head of finance to ensure the integrity of group reporting, VAT, general‑ledger activity, fixed‑asset accounting, bank‑account management, project controlling and SOX‑related controls across Coperion K‑Tron Switzerland and its subsidiaries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States. Day‑to‑day duties include coordinating and supporting internal and external audits, delivering accurate monthly reports in OneStream under US GAAP, preparing statutory filings and VAT returns for Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom and France, and overseeing accounts receivable, payable and inter‑company settlements. The manager will also handle cash‑collection processes, bad‑debt reserves, goods‑received‑but‑not‑invoiced reconciliations, project accounting, cost‑variance analysis, inventory and revenue cut‑off reviews, chart‑of‑accounts maintenance, and supervision of the shared‑service centre. Additional responsibilities cover ad‑hoc finance requests, leasing‑tool expertise, payroll reconciliation between HR and the ERP system, and participation in various improvement projects. Candidates must possess several years of international accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting or an eidg. Fachausweis, and strong written and spoken English and German skills. Advanced Excel abilities, meticulous attention to detail, the capacity to prioritize multiple initiatives, and a willingness to identify root causes and drive process enhancements are essential. The role also expects a collaborative mindset that encourages open communication within virtual teams and a shared‑service environment; Big 4 audit exposure is considered a plus.
