Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Precision Machining)

Their client is a well‑established industrial manufacturer that runs a technically demanding production site, where accuracy, dependable processes, and a drive for continual improvement are essential. They are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to help modernise and fine‑tune the manufacturing operation. The engineer will refine high‑accuracy machining workflows, design and roll out new production cells, and apply Lean and industrial‑engineering techniques to boost efficiency. Duties include assessing and selecting machinery, improving factory layout and material flow, creating and testing tooling and fixturing, reviewing CNC programming logic, and coordinating technical tasks between production, engineering, and industrialisation groups. You will also aid in industrialisation efforts, ensuring new processes transition smoothly into full‑scale production. Applicants must bring more than a decade of experience in industrial production and at least five years specifically in manufacturing engineering or a comparable role. Hands‑on skill with precision lathes, milling centres and grinding equipment is required, as is a proven record of using Lean or continuous‑improvement methods. Experience in equipment selection, tooling design and process optimisation is essential, together with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline. Full professional fluency in French is mandatory. The position is a permanent, full‑time role based on‑site in the Jura canton of Switzerland. The successful engineer will collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams and will be part of a culture that emphasises modernisation and operational excellence.
