Contractor (Senior) Research Associate Translational Research (9 months)

Alentis Therapeutics, known as the Claudin-1 Company, focuses on developing treatments for cancer and fibrosis. The company is advancing a pipeline of anti-Claudin-1 monoclonal antibodies to address solid tumors and kidney, liver, and lung fibrosis. The Senior Research Associate will support both preclinical and clinical-stage research programs, focusing on fibrotic and inflammatory diseases. The main responsibilities include designing and conducting research to validate target biology, elucidate mechanisms of action, and optimize therapeutic agents. This involves using various methods and assays to assess the safety and efficacy of drug development compounds. The role also includes overseeing cell culture activities, summarizing and reporting data, and presenting findings at internal and external meetings. Additionally, the associate will ensure the recording and traceability of scientific data. To qualify, candidates must hold an MSc in fibrosis, immunology, molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field. Experience in the biotech/pharma industry, particularly in fibrosis and inflammation research, is beneficial. Proficiency in biochemistry, cell culture, and immunoassays is essential. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools like Excel and GraphPad Prism are required. Nice-to-have skills include experience in cholangiocyte biology and cell senescence. The role is based in Allschwil, Switzerland, with the possibility of two days of home office per week. The contract duration is nine months, and candidates must hold a Swiss working permit or be EU citizens eligible to work in Switzerland.
