Software Engineer

Destinus is seeking a Software Engineer to create the code that powers its autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, a core part of the company’s effort to transform defense operations with fast, precise, and cost‑effective aerial platforms. The firm works with government and defense agencies around the globe, delivering cutting‑edge UAV solutions for mission‑critical tasks. In this position you will design and implement high‑performance C++ applications that run in real‑time, resource‑limited settings. You will partner closely with hardware, avionics, and systems groups to guarantee smooth integration between software and physical components. Daily work includes building and tuning software modules for embedded devices and distributed data pipelines, shaping system architecture for scalability, and enhancing the overall performance, reliability, and maintainability of the software stack while tackling engineering challenges that lack a predefined roadmap. The role requires deep expertise in C++ and a track record of delivering robust production systems. Candidates must possess a solid engineering mindset, hands‑on experience with real‑world technical problems, and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline. Fluency in English is essential, and applicants should have experience in at least one of the following areas: sensor fusion with lidar, radar, cameras, IMUs or GPS; low‑level embedded platform development focused on hardware integration and communication protocols; or onboard C software, preferably for missiles or satellites.
