The Metal Operations Manager role involves overseeing a team of 15 people across multiple locations, including Geneva, Ticino, and New York. The manager reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is responsible for managing diverse precious metals operations across various client streams. The company specializes in precious metals, handling activities such as refining, trading, production, and storage of fine metal products. The main day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing metal operations, ensuring the accuracy of deliveries, pricing, invoicing, payments, and reconciliation. The manager also monitors and reconciles client trade accounts, market positions, and balances. Additionally, the role involves ensuring correct invoicing of goods and services, resolving and escalating issues, and maintaining good communication with various departments such as customer service, production, logistics, treasury, trading, and back office. The manager also designs and monitors operational key performance indicators and works with IT to define user requirements for the company's Inbound and MIDAS applications. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Master's degree in Finance, Commodities, or a related field. They should also have 10-15 years of work experience, preferably in a commodities trading house or financial institution, and 2-3 years of experience in team and project management. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required, with Italian and/or French being desirable. Nice-to-have skills include the ability to bring innovative ideas and thinking, and the ability to carry out work in a gender and diversity-sensitive manner.
