Operations Engineer

Arch is a company focused on alternative investments, and the Operations Engineer role is crucial for the efficiency and success of their Client Operations team. This role involves building and maintaining internal tools and data pipelines that support the team's work. The main day-to-day responsibilities include developing new features for internal web platforms, building and maintaining data acquisition and processing pipelines, and automating the extraction of financial data. The role also involves applying both traditional data processing methods and generative AI to structure data, ensuring the quality and correctness of automation outputs, and overseeing the maintenance of internal tooling that supports core business functions. Additionally, the engineer will assist with debugging and troubleshooting errors. To be considered for this role, candidates must be current college seniors graduating between December 2026 and August 2027. Proficiency in JavaScript or another mainstream programming language and knowledge of SQL are essential. The ideal candidate is a quick learner who enjoys solving difficult, ambiguous problems and has a high degree of accuracy in writing code to process and understand data. Interest in alternative investments and/or financial services is also important, as is the ability to communicate well and professionally. Nice-to-have skills include experience in web development with HTML/CSS and React, familiarity with financial terms such as capital calls, IRRs, recallable distributions, or K-1s, and having taken finance or accounting courses.
