Senior Mechanical R&D Engineer

Sécheron Hasler Group, a Swiss‑heritage leader in railway technology and supplier of electrical safety components, traction power systems and renewable‑energy solutions, is seeking a Senior Mechanical R&D Engineer for its Geneva office. The role focuses on turning advanced concepts into manufacturable, cost‑effective and durable designs. You will refine and challenge drawings created by others, act as a reference point for robust‑design practices, and support existing products within a cross‑functional team. Hands‑on work includes experimental assembly, testing, and applying multi‑physical analysis to complex systems that combine electrical, mechanical and magnetic technologies. The position requires a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Micro‑technics, Mechatronics or a related field, strong skills in tolerance management, robust‑design and design‑to‑cost, and proficiency with Finite Element tools such as SolidWorks, COMSOL or ANSYS. Knowledge of machining, plastics/thermoset materials, ISO GD&T, functional analysis, FMEA and basic power‑electronics is essential. Fluency in English is mandatory; French or German are advantageous.
