The Lead Engineer Building Automation role involves overseeing complex building automation projects within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, and industrial sectors. Additionally, the position involves reviewing and approving technical documentation, preparing tender documents, and acting as the primary technical contact for clients and suppliers. The role also supports cost estimates, schedule planning, and technical risk management. To qualify, candidates must have a degree or Technician/HF qualification in Building Automation, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable field with relevant experience. Several years of experience in designing and implementing building automation projects, particularly in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or industrial sectors, are essential. Experience leading engineering teams or serving in a Lead Engineer role is also required. In-depth knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS) is crucial. Good knowledge of Swiss standards and guidelines, as well as relevant EN and ISO standards, is necessary. Strong communication skills in German and English are also required. Nice-to-have skills include experience in developing and evaluating automation concepts, specifications, and tender documents. A strong understanding of interdisciplinary interfaces between building automation, HVAC, electrical systems, and process facilities is beneficial. The ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop sustainable solutions is also valuable. Coaching and mentoring skills to support the professional development of engineers are appreciated. The role involves travel for project-related activities within Switzerland and to client locations within a radius of up to 500 km. What the role asks for: - Degree (University of Applied Sciences or ETH) or Technician/HF qualification in Building Automation, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience - Several years of experience in the design and implementation of building automation projects, ideally in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or industrial sectors - Experience leading engineering teams or serving in a Lead Engineer role - In-depth knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS) - Good knowledge of Swiss standards and guidelines (SIA, SWKI, VKF) as well as relevant EN and ISO standards - Strong communication skills in German and English - Willingness to travel for project-related activities within Switzerland and to client and project locations within a radius of up to 500 km
