Robotics Hardware Intern

Embodied AI is looking for a Robotics Hardware Intern to join its hardware engineering team, where the focus is on creating safe, society‑integrating robotic solutions. The internship offers a chance to work on the mechanical, electronic, and system‑integration aspects of the company’s robots while gaining practical experience in a collaborative startup setting. The daily work will involve assisting in the design and development of mechanical structures, electronic boards, sensors and actuators for robotic platforms. You will help build and test prototypes, analyse the outcomes, and contribute to improving hardware performance. Setting up a new robotics and mechanical laboratory in Italy is part of the role, as is preparing documentation that covers specifications, assembly steps and testing procedures. Close collaboration with senior engineers will also give you exposure to hardware‑software integration and opportunities to suggest optimisation ideas. Candidates must hold a master’s degree or higher in a discipline such as engineering, robotics, automotive or aerospace. Proven ability to use CAD tools—preferably Fusion 360—and familiarity with rapid‑prototyping methods like 3‑D printing or laser cutting are required. Strong problem‑solving skills, especially in debugging and refining hardware components, and fluency in English are also essential. Additional points are awarded to applicants who enjoy building projects in their spare time and can share evidence of those creations. The position is based in Italy, within a fast‑moving robotics startup that values diversity and aims to foster an inclusive environment where motivated individuals can grow.
