The International Trade Relations Sector within the Legal & International Affairs Division, operating under the Swiss Intellectual Property Institute, seeks an Advisor on Intellectual Property, Innovation & Public Health Affairs. The post supports Switzerland's voice in global discussions where IP, innovation and health intersect. In this capacity you will act for the IPI on initiatives tied to Swiss health foreign policy, steer negotiations, and champion the country's position at international venues. You will clarify the impact of intellectual property on research and public‑health innovation, draft policy statements, align work with other federal bodies, and organise specialist events and networking sessions with key national and international stakeholders. The preferred candidate possesses a master's degree in international relations, public health, political science, law or a comparable field. Several years of professional experience that includes negotiation, ideally in an overseas context, are required, together with solid knowledge of international health law and, preferably, of intellectual‑property regulations. Strong diplomatic abilities, the skill to convey complex ideas clearly, and the capacity to operate both independently and as part of a team are essential. The appointment is full‑time (100 %) and can be carried out remotely. You will join a multidisciplinary team that works closely with other federal agencies and will be expected to cultivate relationships with important actors at both national and international levels. Reliability and precision are emphasized.
