Data Center Technician (DCO), Data Center Operations at Amazon Web Services (AWS) AWS Data Center Operations designs, installs and maintains the world's largest cloud‑computing infrastructure. In this role you will join the team that keeps the AWS cloud running, working inside some of the most advanced data‑center facilities on the planet. Your daily work will revolve around keeping systems reliable and secure. You will troubleshoot hardware and network issues, resolve trouble tickets quickly, and act as the escalation point for both systems and networking problems. Installing and configuring racks of hosts, performing physical replacements of servers and network devices, and adhering to strict security and safety procedures are core tasks. You will also respond to high‑severity incidents, work 24 × 7 on‑call rotations, and coordinate with third‑party vendors and contractors as needed. To succeed you must be able to follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures without deviation and handle repetitive tasks consistently. Proven experience in troubleshooting both systems and networking hardware, as well as a track record of resolving tickets efficiently, is required. You must be prepared to meet the 24 × 7 on‑call schedule and follow all security and safety best practices in the data‑center environment. AWS values continuous improvement and collaboration.
