Data Engineer – Remote

A senior Data Engineer contractor will work remotely to shape the data backbone that powers emerging AI platforms, ensuring those systems can interpret and act on complex data pipelines, modeling, and analytics workflows. The position focuses on constructing robust, production‑grade infrastructure that supports AI reasoning about data engineering challenges. Daily duties involve assessing AI‑generated responses to data‑engineering queries for technical soundness, completeness and practicality, and pushing advanced language models with intricate scenarios covering SQL, Python, ETL/ELT design, orchestration, warehousing and pipeline stability. The role also requires refining prompts and reference answers, delivering detailed feedback on flawed assumptions or unsafe recommendations, and helping define clear communication standards for AI explanations of architecture, debugging steps and trade‑offs. Candidates must bring at least four years of hands‑on experience building and maintaining scalable pipelines, deep expertise in SQL, data modeling, ET
