Thermal Systems & Mechanical Engineer

Flux is seeking a Thermal Systems & Mechanical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team that spans mechanical engineering, software, electronics, manufacturing, testing, purchasing, business development and sales. In this position you will be responsible for the complete thermal architecture of Flux’s electric light‑commercial vehicles. That includes managing battery temperature control, cooling for power electronics and the electric motor, cabin climate, and the associated coolant and refrigerant networks. You will size these subsystems, design and integrate the mechanical components such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, tubing and mounting hardware, and verify that they operate reliably from cold alpine winters to hot, fully‑loaded summer cycles. Daily work involves close collaboration with mechanical, electrical and software colleagues, defining thermal requirements and operating strategies together, and guiding projects from concept through simulation, calculation and on‑vehicle testing. The role requires an experienced engineer with a background in thermal management and mechanical design for electric vehicles, capable of taking technical ownership of system architecture and hardware integration.
