As a Testing Engineer at Loki in Zürich, you will create and run the systems that continuously test, improve, and validate the company's robotic products. Loki develops advanced robotics solutions and this role sits at the crossroads of hardware, software, and operations, giving you a direct impact on the performance of the robot fleet. Your daily work will involve defining testing processes that surface edge‑case problems, designing rigs and mock‑up environments to boost testing capacity, and leading a team of robot operators who execute the test plans you create. You will also build feedback loops between testing and R&D, contribute engineering fixes for issues you uncover, and oversee both hardware and software release testing. The position requires at least three years of hands‑on experience building robotics systems that span hardware and software, as well as strong Linux skills, including bash, containers, systemd, and networking. You must be able to communicate effectively with all engineering disciplines, organise work in noisy, complex settings, and demonstrate a high‑agency mindset that drives results faster than expected. Additional advantages include familiarity with debugging electrical systems such as CAN bus and power distribution, experience with ROS2, hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing, NVIDIA Jetson platforms, and CAD modelling tools like Onshape. As Loki's first dedicated Testing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the testing culture and supporting successful customer deployments, while working on‑site in Zürich with a collaborative engineering team.
