The opening is for a hybrid CAD AI IoT Engineer / Tinkerer who will bridge software architecture and physical hardware, turning Imnoo’s proven algorithms into actionable factory‑floor intelligence. In this role you will spend most of your time interfacing with real machines rather than only a desk. Typical activities include reverse‑engineering industrial communication protocols, constructing edge data pipelines, and extracting detailed 3D geometry to feed the AI quoting engine. You will connect to a variety of CNC controllers such as Heidenhain, Fanuc and Siemens, pull telemetry via standards like OPC UA, MTConnect or FOCAS, and integrate the resulting streams with cloud‑based services. Prototyping, testing and deploying solutions on Raspberry Pis, industrial PCs and other edge devices will be routine. The position requires demonstrable experience in CAD/CAM environments together with deep knowledge of CAD/CAM API integration for extracting feature data. You must have hands‑on IoT expertise focused on gathering operational data from shop‑floor equipment, and a solid background in programming languages such as Python, C++, C# or Node.js to build scalable integrations and rapid prototypes. Proficiency with Docker for containerising applications and deploying them to edge gateways, as well as experience linking custom software to third‑party manufacturing services like ERP systems or tool‑database APIs, are essential.
