Senior Client Associate South Africa (80-100%)

The Senior Client Associate role sits within Vontobel’s Private Clients team that serves South‑African investors. Vontobel is a family‑owned, publicly listed investment firm headquartered in Zurich, operating in more than 25 locations worldwide. The team focuses on managing client assets with a long‑term, sustainable outlook, combining market insight with risk‑aware solutions. In this position you will take charge of a client portfolio, ensuring that client needs are prioritized. Daily tasks include handling account administration such as cash management, transfers, stock‑exchange orders and execution monitoring, as well as renewing fiduciary deposits. You will monitor risk and compliance signals, support relationship managers with KYC matters, organise client meetings and help prepare investment proposals. You also guarantee smooth account openings and closures. The employer expects candidates to have previously worked in a similar banking capacity and to possess a solid grasp of financial products and markets. Experience with the South African market and with onboarding complex structures is considered valuable. Fluency in English and strong communication skills are required, together with a collaborative attitude, a keen interest in high‑level client service and proficient IT abilities, especially in MS Office. German language skills are viewed as an additional benefit.
