As an Infrastructure Engineer you will shape the cloud platform that links a fleet of security‑focused robots to operator intelligence. The company builds intelligent software for physical security, leveraging AI, cloud computing and robotics to let autonomous systems handle dangerous tasks. Based in Zurich, the founding team combines PhD‑level expertise in AI, robotics and physics with strong investor backing, and the role is a pivotal early‑stage hire that will define how software is shipped for years to come. Your day‑to‑day work will span the full stack: you will design and implement the core cloud foundation on AWS or GCP, set up secure networking (VPN, TLS, PKI) and manage IAM and cost controls. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that produce reliable builds for both cloud services and on‑robot software, and you will run Kubernetes clusters, including edge‑optimized distributions such as K3s, while handling image builds, secrets, and rollout mechanisms. Observability will be covered through logging, metrics, tracing and dashboards (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.), and you will create developer tooling that smooths local testing and reduces friction for the broader engineering team. Because many customers run on‑prem or in air‑gapped environments, hardened, self‑contained deployments are as important as rapid iteration. The non‑negotiable qualifications include at least four years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE or a comparable infrastructure role, and a proven record of building cloud infrastructure from scratch in a startup setting. You must have deep expertise with a major public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure), production‑grade Kubernetes (including lightweight variants), and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi. Strong networking and security fundamentals, VPNs, TLS, certificate and PKI management, firewalls, are required, as are solid CI/CD skills using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar. Proficiency in a systems language like Python or Go and a history of delivering developer‑facing platforms are also essential. Nice‑to‑have experience includes deploying software to edge devices or robot fleets (OTA, A/B updates, rollbacks), working in on‑prem or air‑gapped settings, and a background in security‑sensitive sectors such as enterprise, defense, fintech or healthcare. Familiarity with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, OpenTelemetry) and supporting machine‑learning workloads (training infrastructure, model serving, GPU orchestration) are additional assets. The role is full‑time, on‑site in Zurich, with visa and relocation support; remote work may be considered for an exceptional fit. What the role asks for: - 4+ years platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure experience - Deep experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure - Strong Kubernetes expertise, including K3s - Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform or Pulumi - Networking and security fundamentals: VPN, TLS, PKI, firewalls - CI/CD proficiency with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar - Coding ability in Python, Go, or comparable systems language - Proven track record building developer‑facing platforms - Nice‑to‑have: OTA or robot‑fleet deployment experience - Nice‑to‑have: On‑prem or air‑gapped environment work - Nice‑to‑have: Background in security‑sensitive sectors - Nice‑to‑have: Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, OpenTelemetry - Nice‑to‑have: Experience supporting ML workloads and GPU orchestration
