Factory Controller

The Factory Controller role sits within Alfa Laval's Finance team at its Allschwil, Switzerland site. Alfa Laval designs and builds cryogenic pumps for the liquefied‑gas market and positions itself as a global leader in resource‑efficient technologies. The newly created position offers the chance to shape financial processes, drive optimisation, and support the company's rapid growth while contributing to a more sustainable world. In this role you will steer the budgeting cycle and produce financial forecasts, turning performance data into clear recommendations for senior management. You will prepare and evaluate cost‑benefit analyses that back supply‑chain optimisation, take part in monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, and manage standard‑cost and cost‑roll procedures to keep product costing up to date. Ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining internal controls, handling fixed‑asset accounting, and overseeing credit management in line with group rules are also key tasks. Additionally, you will explore and apply digital tools such as ERP platforms, D365, Power BI and database solutions to improve reporting efficiency. The position requires a solid background in finance: five to ten years of experience in a comparable role within an international environment and a relevant degree in Accounting or Finance. Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential, and the ability to analyse data, think strategically while paying attention to detail, and work independently with high self‑discipline is expected. Experience with ERP systems is mandatory, and a strong grasp of digital reporting tools is also required. A plus is knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI (including AI features), and SQL/APEX, as well as French language skills.
