Adaptyv is a fast‑growing biotech firm that creates an automated laboratory where AI agents can interact with real‑world biology experiments. The company supplies a deep software‑hardware stack that turns expensive lab instruments into API‑driven devices, links dozens of machines through complex workflows, and adds AI‑based troubleshooting and data‑processing layers. As the business expands, it needs a Founders Associate to build and own the operational backbone that will keep the organisation running smoothly. In this high‑ownership generalist role you will take complete operational workstreams from a messy first draft to a polished, repeatable system. Daily tasks include redesigning manual processes with AI tools, managing customer onboarding, handling finance and administrative duties together with accountants, negotiating with suppliers, coordinating lab‑expansion logistics for the new Lausanne site, and organising internal events and visits. You will also develop lightweight tools and automations using Claude Code, Python, Notion or other no‑code solutions, and create the processes the company still lacks. The position requires a proven record of delivering projects or initiatives, whether at a startup, a side venture, a club, or during studies. You must demonstrate strong agency and ownership, spotting problems early and solving them without a playbook. An entrepreneurial, self‑directed mindset that thrives on ambiguity is essential, as is comfort with rapidly shifting priorities. Proficiency with AI‑assisted development tools, especially Claude Code or Codex, is expected, and you should be hands‑on, organized and reliable in execution. A genuine interest in life‑science topics is required for candidates without a biology background. The role is based on‑site in Lausanne, Switzerland and is a full‑time position starting as soon as possible. You will work in a dynamic environment where priorities evolve quickly, and you will be expected to jump between projects, responsibilities and urgent operational needs while maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness.
