Tender Engineer Layout (Waste-to-Energy)

As a Tender Engineer Layout (Waste‑to‑Energy) you will join the Global Engineering & Supply Chain Tendering team, creating conceptual plant layouts for international EPC proposals in the waste‑to‑energy sector. Your daily work will involve building three‑dimensional models and shaping overall plant concepts that cover process integration, maintenance, traffic flow and building placement. You will optimise the arrangement of equipment to enhance cost competitiveness, coordinate with disciplines ranging from process engineering to civil and steel‑structure design, and review contract specifications to spot risks and opportunities. The role also includes leading layout reviews, issuing planning drawings, providing civil input data, and handing over successful tenders to the execution team while contributing to the upkeep of tendering tools and guidelines. The position requires at least five years of experience in an international EPC setting such as energy, renewables, environmental technology or oil & gas, with a solid background in project execution or tendering and familiarity with process equipment layout, steel structures and civil design. Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD modelling, awareness of BIM methods, and hands‑on use of software like Aveva E3D (preferred), Navisworks, AutoCAD or Revit are essential. Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are welcomed. Experience with waste‑to‑energy technologies is advantageous, and the candidate should be autonomous, proactive, curious, flexible and team‑oriented. While the vacancy is posted for Zurich, applicants residing elsewhere may be considered, with preferred alternatives in Milan, Bratislava or Levice.
