The role sits within the Corporate Communications Business Partnering Team of the Group Communications organisation and reports to the head of Corporate Strategy and Sustainability Communications Business Partnering, focusing on high‑visibility enterprise topics across the Group. In this capacity you will counsel senior leaders, craft and launch comprehensive communication strategies, and obtain endorsement for those plans. Responsibilities include shaping core messages that enhance Roche’s reputation, managing the full cycle of sustainability‑related storytelling in partnership with the Group’s Centres of Excellence, and collaborating with the Digital Communications centre to set up metrics that gauge impact. You will also provide strategic advice that anticipates risks and opportunities, nurture trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders, act as a conduit between corporate and sustainability strategies, and seek alignment with other business‑partner communications across the organisation. The position requires a seasoned communications professional with more than ten years of strategic experience across areas such as corporate, sustainability, reporting, policy, internal and media relations, and a university qualification in journalism or strategic communications. Candidates should possess a solid grasp of corporate sustainability issues—preferably within healthcare—a systems‑thinking outlook, and the ability to influence senior executives in a multicultural, matrixed setting. Native‑level English writing and speaking are mandatory, while fluency in additional languages is considered advantageous. Ideal applicants will bring a track record of delivering strategic communications in fast‑moving environments, demonstrate strong leadership and collaborative instincts, and thrive on building cross‑functional partnerships.
