Sensor Calibration & Integration Intern

The internship focuses on creating a smooth, user‑oriented calibration platform for a suite of sensors that includes RGB cameras, LiDAR units and inertial measurement devices. It is part of a company whose purpose is to tackle core problems in artificial intelligence and robotics, aiming to produce intelligent machines that improve everyday life. During the placement you will be responsible for building the calibration tools, working side‑by‑side with research staff to lay a reliable groundwork for sophisticated robotic applications. Tasks involve solving intricate challenges that arise when robots operate outside the lab, shaping complex systems into intuitive products, and employing both classic optimization methods and modern learning techniques to address practical robotics issues. The position requires you to be enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in robotics, computer vision or a closely related discipline. You must be comfortable coding in both C++ and Python, possess a strong understanding of state‑estimation and optimization concepts, and have experience with factor‑graph approaches, preferably using the GTSAM library. A genuine interest in constructing dependable tools for robotics research is essential. Additional assets include familiarity with calibration methods that rely on machine learning, contributions to open‑source projects that demonstrate problem‑solving abilities in robotics or computer‑vision domains, and a history of papers accepted at leading conferences such as CVPR, ICRA or RSS. The role is a full‑time commitment for roughly six months, offers an inclusive work environment, and the hiring process may involve AI‑based assistance while final decisions remain with human reviewers.
