AI Engineer

The AI Engineer will work with clients in the financial sector, focusing on bringing AI solutions from the prototype stage to full production. This involves fine-tuning, deployment, inference optimization, monitoring, and continuous improvement of machine learning (ML) and large language model (LLM) systems. The role requires collaboration with AI scientists, software engineers, infrastructure experts, and domain specialists to ensure that the solutions are reliable, scalable, and meet the high standards of the banking industry. To excel in this role, candidates must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least three years of experience as an AI Engineer or in a similar position. Proficiency in deploying and operating ML/LLM systems in production, including serving, monitoring, and cost/latency optimization, is essential. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, along with familiarity with deployment tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, are required. Additionally, hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and proficiency in English, are must-haves. Nice-to-have skills include experience with LLM inference stacks, structured-output reliability, and familiarity with Databricks or distributed data frameworks. Experience in the finance sector or other regulated industries is also beneficial. The role is based in Zurich or Lugano, with a requirement to work onsite at least 80% of the time.
