The role of Founding People & Talent Partner at Laelaps AI involves being the first people hire, responsible for managing hiring and HR functions. Laelaps AI is a company focused on developing intelligent software for physical security, leveraging advancements in AI, cloud computing, and hardware. The company aims to create a safer, more secure world by enabling robots and sensors to handle critical tasks. The main day-to-day responsibilities include running the hiring process end-to-end using Ashby, sourcing candidates for technical and G&A roles, managing employment contracts, onboarding and offboarding, and maintaining people records. Additionally, the role involves enhancing the candidate and employee experience, and developing the employer brand in collaboration with the founders. To qualify for this role, candidates must have at least three years of experience in recruiting, people operations, or both, preferably in a startup or scale-up environment. Experience hiring technical profiles and a working knowledge of Swiss employment practices are essential. Proficiency in an applicant tracking system, with Ashby being a plus, is also required. Fluency in English is mandatory, with German being an additional asset. Nice-to-have skills include experience in deep tech, robotics, or defense, as well as familiarity with international hiring and the associated permits. Knowledge of equity and employee option paperwork is also beneficial. The location in Zurich offers a dynamic and international team environment, with the opportunity to work directly with PhD-level co-founders in AI, Robotics, and Physics.
