Beauty Department Manager

The Beauty Department Manager role is based at Real Canadian Superstore, one of Canada’s largest retailers dedicated to helping Canadians “Live Life Well®.” In this position you will lead the beauty and cosmetics area, combining retail leadership with hands‑on product expertise to inspire customers and your team. Your daily duties will include supervising all operations of the beauty floor, meeting or surpassing sales and profit targets, and controlling expenses, shrinkage and labour costs. You will keep the shelves stocked, properly displayed and priced, maintain a clean and safe environment, and collaborate with store and other department managers to align with overall store objectives. Coaching, training and developing staff on customer service, product knowledge and merchandising will be central, as will providing personalized advice on product use, trends and application techniques to drive sales and loyalty. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with some college coursework viewed favorably, and prior retail management experience—ideally within a beauty department. You must demonstrate proven consultative selling ability, a strong record of meeting sales goals, and excellent communication skills for presenting and instructing both individuals and groups. Leadership, interpersonal, organizational and time‑management abilities are essential, as are basic computer skills, familiarity with merchandising and inventory processes, and a commitment to superior customer service. Physical capacity to lift 50 lb, stand for long periods and work flexible evenings and weekends is also required.
