Our client, IQVIA, a global leader in clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence, is looking for a MedTech Device Field Service Engineer or Technician on a flexible, part‑time basis. The role focuses on installing hardware for automated medication dispensing systems in hospitals and other healthcare facilities across the United States, offering a clear path to develop technical expertise and leadership within a fast‑growing medical‑device environment. Day‑to‑day you will organise, test and assemble the dispensing units, handling both hardware and software components as well as mechanical parts. You will review schematics, drawings and logistics documents to prepare each installation, perform routine checks, record test data and verify that all work meets quality‑compliance standards. Collaboration with a support team is essential to keep project timelines on track and to address customer requirements throughout each assignment. The position demands a Matura diploma and at least one year of experience in electronics, hardware, software or mechanical work. Fluency in both English and German is required, together with solid business acumen and communication abilities. You must be comfortable using basic software tools and Microsoft operating systems, and be able to cooperate with design engineers, project managers and healthcare staff to define equipment layout and workflow. Hospital vendor credentialing is mandatory, which includes providing proof of current vaccinations and meeting all immunisation criteria set by the facilities. Physical requirements include the capacity to sit and stand for extended periods and to lift items up to 50 lb. An active, unrestricted driver's licence and a personal vehicle are needed for the extensive travel schedule, and you should live within 30 miles of a major airport. Preferred candidates are military veterans who have served in an electronics‑related MOS, and those who can operate independently in customer sites with minimal supervision. The assignment‑based, per‑diem role offers flexible hours (typically 16‑30 hours per week plus travel time) and reimburses travel and mileage. While the position does not include medical benefits, it provides a unique chance to grow within a leading MedTech company and to contribute directly to improving patient outcomes. What the role asks for: - Matura Diploma - Minimum 1 year electronics/hardware/software/mechanical experience - English proficiency - German proficiency - Professional business acumen and communication skills - Basic software and Microsoft OS proficiency - Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing (vaccination proof) - Up‑to‑date immunizations per facility requirements - Ability to sit/stand for long periods - Ability to lift up to 50 lb - Active unrestricted driver's licence - Personal vehicle for job‑related travel - Ability to travel locally, regionally and nationally weekly - Residence within 30 mi of a major airport - Military veteran electronics MOS experience (nice‑to‑have) - Work independently with minimal supervision (nice‑to‑have)
