Healthcare Data Architect (openEHR/FHIR)

OWT, a strategy and technology consultancy owned by Swisscom, partners with Anthropic’s Alpha Factory to advance human‑centred AI in Switzerland. Within its Digital Health division, the firm seeks a Healthcare Data Architect specialized in openEHR and FHIR to design data architectures for major Swiss hospitals from its Zurich office. In this position you will guide hospital stakeholders on governance for openEHR‑based Clinical Data Repositories and FHIR‑based Operational Data Repositories. Your daily work includes helping modelling teams create scalable clinical and operational data structures, linking the repositories to existing hospital information systems, and establishing principles for data handling, security and monitoring. You will also ensure that all solutions meet Swiss data‑protection laws such as nLPD/FADP and, where applicable, GDPR, while defining governance frameworks that cover roles, quality‑assured modelling processes, maturity metrics and compliance checks. The role requires at least seven years of experience as a software or data architect, preferably in a healthcare setting, and hands‑on delivery of openEHR CDRs or FHIR‑compatible interfaces. You must possess a deep knowledge of clinical and operational workflows in Swiss hospitals and be able to build governance structures for role allocation and architecture compliance. Prior consulting, hospital, or health‑software vendor experience is expected, as is the ability to run workshops and present to mixed audiences. Fluency in German and English at C1 level is mandatory; French is advantageous. Certifications in openEHR, FHIR or HL7 are a plus.
