Trainee - Restructuring and Performance Improvement

Deloitte is seeking a Trainee for its Restructuring and Performance Improvement team in Zurich. The position supports clients in boosting the efficiency and effectiveness of their organisations, working alongside Deloitte specialists in legal, tax and regulatory services to deliver customised solutions. On a daily basis you will assist the core team in tackling client challenges, delivering practical solutions such as performance upgrades, strategic option analyses, managed exits, refinancings and legal entity consolidations. Tasks include qualitative and quantitative research, drafting report inputs, preparing financial analyses for shareholders, financiers or regulators, and helping to manage project timelines, costs, resources and deliverables. You will also contribute to business‑development activities and quality‑risk procedures while sharing ideas to drive projects forward. The role requires a curious generalist with strong listening skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly. You must hold a Master's degree (or be close to completing one) focused on finance, banking, business administration, accounting, economics or law, and have at least one year of experience in strategy, transformation, transaction services or a comparable consulting environment. Fluency in German and English, including financial terminology, is essential, as are solid Excel and PowerPoint abilities and a good grasp of financial statements.
