The role of an Italian Bilingual Expert involves contributing to a language and AI training project aimed at enhancing Italian-language understanding and generation. The main day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating Italian audio content for nativeness, fluency, and linguistic quality. This involves assessing pronunciation, intonation, accent, rhythm, and linguistic authenticity. The expert will also identify unnatural phrasing and pronunciation issues, and document assessments with clear and concise written feedback in English. Additionally, the role requires providing detailed explanations for evaluation decisions and collaborating with project coordinators to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguous language content. The expert will work on completing assigned audio review tasks accurately and within project deadlines, maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and attention to detail. The role is conducted remotely, offering flexibility in work environment. To excel in this role, the Italian Bilingual Expert must have native-level proficiency in Italian, with a strong command of both spoken and written Italian. Additionally, a B2+ proficiency in English, particularly for written and verbal communication, is essential. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle linguistic differences are crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to clearly explain linguistic observations and evaluation decisions, are also required. The expert must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment and be able to follow detailed guidelines and apply evaluation criteria consistently. A background in linguistics, phonetics, voice specialization, music, audio engineering, communications, or a related field is preferred. Experience with audio analysis, transcription, language evaluation, or linguistic assessment is also beneficial. Familiarity with AI-generated speech or language technologies is a plus, but not required. The location is remote, offering flexibility in work environment.
