The Senior FMI Business Analyst position is part of J. Safra Sarasin Group, a sustainable private bank with a 180‑year legacy and operations in 30 locations worldwide. The bank delivers tailored investment advisory and asset‑management services to private and institutional clients and is currently expanding its regulatory‑focused initiatives from its Swiss offices. In this role you will back the project team on regulatory market‑infrastructure programmes, such as rolling out MiFIR requirements and refining EMIR Refit and FMIA processes. Your everyday work includes extracting exact business requirements from regulatory texts and internal demands, carrying out gap analyses against current trading and operational flows, and shaping practical solutions together with technical specialists. You will produce requirement documents, raise IT tickets, and lead workshops or conceptual sessions with front‑office and IT participants. System and user‑acceptance testing, communicating outcomes, and close cooperation with a wide range of stakeholders are also core duties, as is analysing complex processes to spot optimisation chances. The candidate must bring at least six years of hands‑on experience with financial market regulation, having worked with frameworks such as EMIR, MiFIR, FMIA or SFTR. Strong analytical abilities, a structured and pragmatic mindset, and the capacity to grasp intricate problems quickly and devise robust, practical solutions are essential. A deep understanding of cash and derivative trading lifecycles and solid knowledge of front‑to‑back trade‑booking workflows are required. You should be able to work independently, drive projects forward under tight deadlines, and demonstrate excellent stakeholder‑management skills at senior levels, together with professional fluency in English.
