The Application Engineer, Technology Preparation role involves supporting the research, development, validation, and continuous improvement of next-generation preparation machines. This includes contributing to technology development activities, machine testing, customer support, and lifetime testing. The role requires hands-on machine expertise, textile process know-how, analytical problem-solving, and customer interaction to ensure innovative and reliable solutions throughout the machine development lifecycle. To excel in this role, candidates must have a technical background as a Service Engineer, Textile Engineer, or equivalent, with practical experience in combing and drawframe technologies. Knowledge of blowroom and carding processes is beneficial. Experience working with textile machinery and/or within spinning mills, along with a good understanding of textile preparation and spinning processes, is essential. Fluent English is mandatory, and proficiency in German is an advantage. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel, is required. The role also demands a willingness to travel internationally up to 30%. Nice-to-have skills include knowledge of blowroom and carding processes.
