The role of a Valuation Analyst at Partners Group involves working within the Investment Valuation team. This team is responsible for overseeing and valuing the company's private equity and real estate investments. The team ensures that these investments are monitored and valued accurately. The main tasks include leading and supporting financial monitoring initiatives, focusing on data optimization and quality enhancement. This involves using the iLevel platform to address platform-related inquiries promptly. Additionally, the role supports the Direct Valuation Control process, which includes planning, coordinating, and ensuring the quality of key deliverables for daily, monthly, and quarterly valuations, with a particular focus on real estate assets. Preparing valuation reports and memos for internal and external stakeholders, and coordinating Valuation Committee meetings by providing necessary information and analytics, are also key responsibilities. Collaboration with various stakeholders, both internal and external, on valuation-related matters is essential. The role also involves contributing to the development and improvement of monitoring, valuation, and reporting tools and processes. To excel in this position, a university degree in Accounting and/or Finance is required. Additionally, 3-5 years of relevant experience in the financial industry, particularly in controlling, audit, or valuation functions, is necessary. A strong understanding of various financial instruments and valuation concepts is crucial. Experience with private markets valuations and the ability to challenge the accuracy of prepared valuations is beneficial. Previous experience using iLevel for financial monitoring is also a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is required. Knowledge of SQL queries, programming languages, or business analytics software like Qliksense is desirable. The ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, multicultural environment is important. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, along with good interpersonal skills, are also necessary.
