The Junior Buyer role is crucial for the procurement team, acting as the operational backbone that ensures the smooth execution of the purchasing process. The main day-to-day responsibilities involve converting approved purchase requisitions into purchase orders and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. This includes processing purchase requisitions and MRP proposals into accurate purchase orders in MS Dynamics, obtaining timely confirmations from suppliers, and maintaining accurate data in the ERP system. The role also involves monitoring open order status, tracking deliveries, and resolving routine operational issues with suppliers. To excel in this role, candidates must have a degree in a related field and 1-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry. Proficiency in using ERP systems, particularly MS Dynamics, is essential. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow instructions from the Procurement Country lead are also required. Fluency in English is a must. Nice-to-have skills include the ability to thrive in a process-driven environment and a strong focus on accuracy and timely task completion.
