Software Engineer Lead

The opening is for a Lead Software Engineer, Full‑Stack, within the Intelligent AV group, where you will steer the technical vision of VisionSuite Designer – the web‑based interface embedded in Q‑SYS Designer that lets integrators configure modern audio‑video environments. In this role you will define the overall architecture and guide a focused team in delivering end‑to‑end features using a contemporary front‑end stack (React, Redux, TypeScript) while bridging to native Q‑SYS components via C++/C# and real‑time WebSocket or REST links. Daily tasks include crafting reliable communication pathways, extending platform modules when needed, collaborating with product owners to shape road‑maps, prototyping solutions with stakeholders, championing a seamless user experience, and mentoring peers through code reviews and design discussions. You will also influence the product’s migration to cloud services and its integration across the broader Q‑SYS ecosystem. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a comparable field, or equivalent hands‑on experience, together with at least eight years of professional software development. Candidates must possess deep expertise in modern front‑end engineering, strong proficiency in React and TypeScript, solid experience designing REST APIs and WebSocket interactions, and comfort working with C++ codebases. Proven ownership of architectural decisions, a product‑oriented mindset, effective stakeholder communication, a keen eye for usability, and a willingness to acquire new skills are essential. Desirable assets include familiarity with C#, prior work within the Q‑SYS environment or other AV systems, experience building browser‑based tools tightly coupled to desktop software, exposure to cloud platforms, and close collaboration with design teams.
