(Senior) Global Hazard Communication Manager

The Senior Global Hazard Communication Manager will join this mission‑driven team, classifying company materials under the UN Globally Harmonized System and relevant dangerous‑goods transport rules, and providing expert guidance on regulatory matters throughout the product lifecycle. Day‑to‑day duties include delivering hazard and transport classifications for globally managed items, authoring and updating Safety Data Sheets for a defined portfolio, and monitoring evolving regulations to produce impact analyses and implementation plans. The role also shapes labeling and safety‑communication strategies, creates training resources, mentors new staff, supports a worldwide network of SDS authors, and drives digital improvements and data‑governance activities within SAP‑EHS. Project leadership, stakeholder coordination and continuous improvement of hazard‑communication processes are core expectations. Candidates must bring at least six years of experience in hazard communication, a science degree (BSc, preferably MSc or PhD) in chemistry, biology or a related field, and proven expertise with SAP‑EHS. In‑depth knowledge of UN GHS, EU CLP, international transport/DG regulations and REACH‑based SDS requirements is essential, as is the ability to translate complex hazard data into clear, globally consistent communications. Fluency in English, strong stakeholder‑management skills and a demonstrated capacity to coach and mentor colleagues are also required.
