Excel Specialist - Remote

The role is a contract Excel Specialist operating remotely for a company that develops AI‑driven document generation tools. The specialist will apply expert‑level spreadsheet, presentation and word‑processing skills to support the training of large language models. Daily tasks involve crafting realistic business scenarios that push the limits of Excel, PowerPoint and Word, then feeding those scenarios to an LLM through structured, multi‑turn prompts. You will produce and evaluate .xlsx.docx and .pptx files, compare two AI‑generated versions, and record side‑by‑side preference data. Feedback must be clear, detailed and focused on quality, accuracy and business relevance, while also sharing industry‑wide insights. The position requires at least three years of experience in Fortune 500 settings where Excel, PowerPoint and Word were used on high‑impact projects. Candidates must have a proven ability to build sophisticated models, reports and presentations across sectors such as finance, healthcare, technology, consulting or retail. A background in roles like private‑equity associate, investment‑banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR or marketing strategist is essential, together with excellent written and spoken communication and a meticulous eye for detail. Additional assets include prior work with large language models or the ability to craft long‑form AI prompts, as well as a strong analytical mindset for judging subtle differences in document quality. The contract is fully remote, offering flexibility while collaborating with an AI‑training team.
