Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

SpotMe, a leading B2B event platform that powers high‑impact in‑person, virtual, hybrid events and webinars—especially for life‑science customers—needs a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability and scalability of its 24/7 SaaS offering. Reporting to the Infrastructure Lead and partnering with engineering and product groups, you will be the technical guardian that keeps the platform performant during peak traffic and critical live events. Your daily work will be split between building and deploying scalable infrastructure with Terraform and native AWS services, creating automation for provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Packer and Docker, and contributing to full‑stack tasks that bridge back‑end and cloud code. You will also fine‑tune the cloud environment for high availability and cost efficiency, apply security patches, and ensure the system can scale smoothly under load. A portion of your time is dedicated to on‑call duties, incident response, and enhancing observability through Datadog, Pingdom and Elastic, while handling infrastructure support tickets and driving continual improvement. The role requires a senior‑level engineer with extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and incident management. Proven competence with Terraform, AWS services, Jenkins‑based CI/CD, Packer, Docker, and Python‑driven AWS Lambda functions is essential, as is familiarity with monitoring stacks such as Datadog, Pingdom and Elastic. Ability to work with load‑testing tools like Locust or Gatling and to execute security‑hardening tasks is also required. Experience with AI‑assisted development tools, particularly Anthropic’s Claude, is valued, as is a track record of automating repetitive workflows and leading reliability or technical‑debt initiatives.
