Cyber Security Intern

The internship places you within Syz’s cyber‑security division, where you will be immersed in the protective side of a regulated banking operation. It offers a chance to work side‑by‑side with seasoned experts while the firm’s entrepreneurial atmosphere encourages idea sharing and direct interaction with senior management. Your daily agenda will involve assisting the first‑line monitoring team, reviewing and categorising security notifications, and performing regular checks on protective mechanisms such as email filters and identity dashboards. You will also help oversee the security settings of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, contribute to the evaluation of multi‑factor authentication and conditional‑access policies, and document the cloud‑security stance relative to internal benchmarks. Additional duties include supporting the coordination of vulnerability scans, tracking remediation steps, following up on critical patch cycles, and taking part in incident‑response drills where you will log actions and help draft post‑incident summaries. Tasks also cover periodic access reviews, verification during onboarding or off‑boarding, and the upkeep of security procedures, metrics and improvement projects. The ideal candidate has recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s program in cyber‑security, computer science, information systems or a closely related discipline, and holds a basic grasp of concepts such as phishing, malware, access controls and vulnerabilities. Prior exposure to Microsoft 365, Entra ID, endpoint or email protection, and cloud‑identity security is expected, as is a keen interest in monitoring, response and governance. Fluency in both French and English, strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, good written and spoken communication, and a disciplined, confidential work style are required.
