Storage Architect (NetApp & Ceph) (m/w/d) – Winterthur Area

The role of a Storage Architect (NetApp & Ceph) at NTT DATA involves providing technical leadership and expertise for enterprise storage platforms. The main day-to-day responsibilities include designing, implementing, and governing enterprise storage architectures using NetApp and Ceph technologies. This involves ensuring high performance, scalability, resilience, and operational excellence. The role also includes providing expert guidance on storage performance, availability, and resilience, as well as architecting and maintaining data protection, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management strategies. Additionally, the architect will support CSI integrations and storage services for containerized and cloud-native platforms, lead capacity planning, and performance analysis initiatives, and act as the escalation point for complex storage incidents. To qualify for this role, candidates must have extensive experience in designing and supporting enterprise storage environments, with a strong expertise in NetApp ONTAP, NetApp AFF A-Series systems, and Ceph storage platforms. A deep understanding of storage architecture, data protection, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts is essential. Experience integrating enterprise storage solutions with virtualized, cloud, and containerized environments, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex storage and infrastructure issues, is required. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills are also necessary. Nice-to-have skills include certifications such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE) for ONTAP, SAN, and/or Data Protection, and Red Hat Ceph Storage Administration certification or equivalent Ceph training. Additional certifications in Security, Network, Storage, or Compute infrastructure are advantageous. The role is based in the Winterthur area, Switzerland, and requires German language proficiency at a minimum B2 level. Applicants must hold Swiss citizenship.
