The Associate Director Ethics & Compliance role at argenx involves supporting the company's commercial and medical operations in the European Region, including Australia and Canada. Argenx is a biotech company focused on developing medicines for autoimmune patients, with a strong emphasis on innovation and patient care. The company's flagship product, VYVGART, is a neonatal Fc receptor blocker approved for treating generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) and has the potential to treat various severe autoimmune diseases. The main day-to-day responsibilities include advising on key projects and daily activities, developing policies and training materials, and providing training in various countries. The role also involves supporting auditing and monitoring activities, fostering a strong ethical culture, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Associate Director will act as a key advisor across the product life cycle, enabling successful product launches and commercialization at both regional and country levels. To qualify for this role, candidates must have 4-7 years of regional biopharmaceutical industry experience in a relevant compliance function, with extensive experience in a commercial-stage pharmaceutical or biotech company. A legal degree is preferred, but other relevant accreditations or degrees are also considered. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Italian, Spanish, French, or German is preferred. Regional experience with launching new products, healthcare compliance systems, and engaging with healthcare professionals is essential. Nice-to-have skills include the ability to innovate, analyze, and solve problems with minimal supervisory input, as well as a strong understanding of business goals and the legal, compliance, and regulatory landscape in Europe. The role requires a high degree of personal, professional, and corporate ethics, integrity, and responsibility.
