DeepJudge is a Swiss AI and ICT scale‑up that builds an intelligence layer for law firms and corporate legal departments. By turning decades of case work, precedents and internal knowledge into searchable, AI‑driven content, the company enables clients to automate workflows and create knowledge‑powered applications. Backed by Silicon Valley investors and founded by former Google engineers with PhDs from ETH Zurich, DeepJudge serves leading firms such as Freshfields and Holland & Knight. The Working Student Quality Assurance, Legal position joins this fast‑growing team. In this role you will verify that every new release meets the expectations of legal end users, including associates, in‑house counsel and M&A teams. You will explore complete user journeys, not just isolated functions, and note where the interface feels clunky, confusing or slow. Reported issues must be documented clearly so engineers can act quickly. You will also identify legal‑specific edge cases that a non‑lawyer tester might overlook, and provide concise, written feedback on usability and functionality. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's law programme. You must think like a junior associate: structured, detail‑oriented and quick to spot inconsistencies. A keen eye for usability and the ability to articulate feedback in well‑organized written form are essential. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required. The position is based in Zurich, and you need to be able to commute to the office and be available on Mondays and Tuesdays. Previous practical legal experience, such as an internship, clerkship or clinic work, preferably at a large firm or in‑house department, will strengthen your application. Exposure to M&A, corporate or transactional matters is also valued. Familiarity with legal AI tools or a strong interest in the intersection of law and technology is considered a plus. The office is a modern space five minutes on foot from Zurich main station, offering direct interaction with engineering teams and a front‑row view of the evolving legal tech landscape. DeepJudge promotes an inclusive, high‑performance culture and equal‑opportunity hiring. You will gain a close view of how one of Switzerland's fastest‑growing startups operates, including daily interaction with engineers who build and ship the product. The position offers a fast‑track entry into Zurich's tech and startup ecosystem, giving you networking opportunities beyond the legal department. Working from a modern office just five minutes from the main train station means you can easily combine work with city life. DeepJudge's commitment to diversity means you will join a team that values different perspectives and supports professional growth in an environment where high performance and inclusion go hand in hand. You will also see first‑hand how legal AI is shaping the industry and have the chance to contribute ideas that influence product direction and build your professional network. What the role asks for: - Currently studying law (Bachelor's or Master's) - Structured, detail‑oriented thinking like a legal associate - Strong usability awareness and spotting of UI issues - Able to give clear, written feedback to engineering - Excellent written and spoken English - Based in Zurich or able to commute - Available on Mondays and Tuesdays - Practical legal experience (internship, clerkship, clinic), nice to have - Exposure to M&A, corporate or transactional work, nice to have - Familiarity with legal AI tools, nice to have
